COP 28 (2) Climate change and NCDs

Zerina, congratulations on your forthcoming involvement in COP28.

External speajers are giving "Nebula" lectures to year 7, year 8 and year 9 sudents at Sheffield Springs Academy. External professionals are invited to put their specialist knowledge up to view by the students and to encourage conversations. (Teachers can't know everything.)

One fact that has become apparent to me is tbe similarities between the causes of Non Communicable Diseases and climate change.

These are tbe uses of passive travel, passive entertainment, restriction of children to their homes because of tbe danger of motor vehicles (1.374 billion of them) and a global trade philosophy based on consuming, throwing away and not mending, buying brand new commodities as entertainment and reduction in physical labour.
