Hi to all members. Thank you for accepting me. I am pleased to be a part of this community. I will update my profile, but I am a US neonatologist, breastfeeding medicine physician and IBCLC, professor of pediatrics, and editor of the Journal of Human Lactation, among other things. I worked for a bit in Bangladesh, and have visited the Philippines, India, Indonesia several times, Saudi Arabia and many places in Europe in my many roles in maternal child health and breastfeeding.
I am working with a small team from Alive and Thrive looking at how countries are handling mothers and newborns with respect to skin-to-skin, breastfeeding, rooming-in and other important aspects of maternal-newborn care. Our first paper was just published and I will try to attach. It is open access at https://nutrition.bmj.com/content/bmjnph/early/2020/12/21/bmjnph-2020-00... Misalignment of global COVID-19 breastfeeding and newborn care guidelines with World Health Organization recommendations. We are doing a follow-up to hat study trying to compile the guidance documents from all countries of the world. We have Bangladesh , Pakistan and India already—thank you for your comments Muhammad Obaidullah Khan Wahedi. The countries we still need are:
