COVID-19, Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition – what does the science tell us?

11 September, 2020

Dear CHIFA members,

My name is Mija Ververs and I work for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the US. I would like to introduce to you our scientific repository that describes the latest findings related to COVID-19 and Maternal and Child Health. We have been doing this since February 2020:

COVID-19, Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition – what does the science tell us?

A Scientific Repository with brief excerpts informing you on the latest scientific information. Updates every Thursday 1 pm USA EST (London UK 18.00)

Compiled by the Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health, this repository provides an overview of what peer-reviewed journal articles currently state on COVID-19, maternal and child health (newborns, children, adolescents), and also nutrition. As the pandemic is ongoing more and more research results are published. With this service, we aim to provide the user with a snapshot of what is published with updates every week. We hope that you will learn and benefit from the articles presented here. Please visit this site:

We also have a Specific repository only on COVID-19, Breastfeeding, Infant Feeding, and Breast Milk – this is updated every two weeks.
