Data Management Plan (DMP) Development: Charting a Course for Public Health Research Success

We are pleased to launch the HRP Statistics Portal data management video series that will be discussing data management considerations for research study planning. The first video in this series focuses on developing a Data Management Plan (DMP).

A DMP plays a crucial role in outlining how research data will be handled. It describes the processes for the collection, storage, security, and sharing of data, encompassing ethical, legal, and regulatory considerations. By detailing data management procedures, the DMP ensures compliance with relevant standards and safeguards the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information. It also facilitates long-term preservation and access to research data, promoting transparency and reproducibility. Ultimately, the DMP supports effective, secure, and ethical data management practices throughout the lifecycle of the research project, contributing to its success and impact.

Her professional interests include quantitative and qualitative data analysis, data quality, increasing research impact, communication of research, implementation science, maternal and child health, mental health, scientific writing and publishing.
