Dear HIFA and CHIFA,

With thanks to the WHO Health Services Learning Hub newsletter Februray 2022: https://createsend.com/t/d-2E939A8C7E08B8A42540EF23F30FEDED

'The WHO Initiative for the mitigation of COVID-19 on essential MNCAAH services [https://www.who.int/teams/maternal-newborn-child-adolescent-health-and-a...

] recently published a global report [https://apps.who.int/iris/handle/10665/351108] on findings including key mitigation strategies and lessons learned from 19 countries and a scoping review [https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789240038318] on interventions to maintain essential services for maternal, newborn, child, adolescent health and older people during (MNCAAH) disruptive events.

'Since May 2020 to the present, WHO has supported 19 countries in six Regions to raise the profile of and commitment to MNCAAH and ensure that during the response to COVID-19, actions would be taken to mitigate indirect impacts on essential MNCAAH services due to disruptions to service provision and use. WHO continues to support countries in building resilient health systems and ensure the needs of MNCAAH are at the core of public health services and integrated into future emergency preparedness and response plans of countries.'
