Geneva Health Forum 2026: Call for abstracts extended until 15 September
The Geneva Health Forum (GHF) 2026 is pleased to announce that the deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended until 15 September 2026, giving researchers, healthcare professionals, students, institutions and global health practitioners additional time to share their work with an international audience.
Taking place in Geneva from 10 to 12 November 2026, the next edition of the Geneva Health Forum will focus on the theme “Rethinking cooperation in global health.” Since its creation in 2006, the GHF has brought together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, international organisations, civil society and frontline actors to foster dialogue, exchange experiences and build partnerships around the major challenges facing global health.
The 2026 conference will explore, among other topics, new approaches to cooperation in global health, health promotion and community engagement, and access to healthcare in conflict and crisis settings. Through presentations, discussions and opportunities for networking, the GHF aims to create a space where diverse perspectives can come together and contribute to practical solutions for today’s health challenges.
An open call for contributions from the global health community
The Call for Abstracts invites researchers, healthcare professionals, students, institutions and organisations to share their research, innovative projects, field experiences and initiatives with the GHF community.
Selected contributions will be presented as posters during the conference. The Collaborative Poster Lab will provide authors with an opportunity to engage directly with participants, exchange ideas, receive feedback and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Selected authors will also have the opportunity to present their poster electronically, make it available through the GHF website before, during and after the conference, and have their contribution published on Zenodo with a DOI. Poster authors will also be eligible for the Best Poster Award, with two prizes of CHF 1,000.
Extended deadline: 15 September 2026
The abstract submission deadline, originally set for 1 September, has now been extended to 15 September 2026.
Abstracts may be submitted in English or French and should clearly present the background and objectives, methodology, results and discussion, as well as the main conclusions. The title is limited to 250 characters and the abstract to 2,500 characters, including spaces and acknowledgements.
Researchers, healthcare professionals, students, practitioners and organisations are invited to take advantage of this extended deadline and share their work with an international community committed to rethinking cooperation in global health.
