Accra Reset: funding down, sovereignty up

Tune in for the LIVE session [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-0g6z2ymww] on Monday, 12 October, at 12:45pm CEST!

Accra Reset:

funding down, sovereignty up

Dear listener,

The Accra Reset [https://accrareset.org/] comes at a pivotal moment for global development, as external financing declines and countries are being urged to take greater ownership of their development priorities and financing decisions. But does less aid necessarily lead to greater sovereignty — or simply leave countries with fewer resources? This session will uniquely look beyond health to explore what the Reset means for education, food systems, climate, debt, trade, technology, and local manufacturing, and how these interconnected areas shape countries’ ability to build resilient, self-determined systems.

This session will feature a special late-breaking guest: Ghana's Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh. He will be joined by:
-Garry Aslanyan: Host of the Global Health Matters podcast
-Catherine Kyobutungi: Executive Director of the African Population and Health Research Center
-Ricardo Baptista Leite: Founder and President of UNITE Parliamentarians Network for Global Health
-Sania Nishtar: CEO of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance
