It’s a dark day for those who look for independent criteria for judging the quality of health and medical information on the Internet. It is a dark day because the rich democracies and countries have no problem in paying the heavy price of wars and killing people but demonstrate greed and misery when it comes to a noble cause regarding the quality of information on the Internet. It shows how bad judgment can be overwhelming and the deliberate act by those who have the money to kill not only by providing bad quality information but also by not providing money to run an organization that uses criteria for good quality information. This organization has been doing excellent job in multiple languages with minimum number of people. Celia Boyer told me over a year ago that there might be complete closure of the Health on Net due to lack of funding. I did not take that bad news seriously thinking, stupidly, that the world will not let a fantastic project go. Shame of the world.
