This panel discussion will bring together civil society and health professional societies to explore how can we make care safer for people living with noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).
This year’s World Patient Safety Day theme, “Safe care for life!”, shines a spotlight on safe care for NCDs. The discussion will focus on where and how harm can occur across the NCD care journey, and what meaningful partnership between patients, health professionals and other stakeholders can look like in practice.
We’re delighted to welcome a distinguished panel; Dr Blerta Maliqi, Head of the Patient Safety and Quality of Care Unit (World Health Organization, HQ) will deliver the opening address, and Dr Ratna Devi, IAPO Board Member and CEO of DakshamA Health and Education, will moderate.
Joining them will be Klaus B von Pressentin, Chair of the WONCA Working Party on Quality and Safety, alongside a representative from CSEM for UHC2030.
