Dear HIFA member / To whom it may concern,
My name is Benjamin Jeuk and I am currently a Preventive Medicine resident at URMC [University of Rochester Medical Center]. Neil suggested introducing myself here and posting my inquiry.
I grew up in Germany and studied medicine in Munich. Last summer I completed my Internal Medicine residency at Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital. Now I am in Preventive Medicine because I am very interested in population-based solutions in the medical field.
In the second year of the Preventive Medicine residency, we have elective time so I am writing this email to ask whether someone could connect me with an organization or institution regarding a rotation of about a month. I will still receive my salary so I do not need a monetary sponsor. However, I would need a supervisor for the elective time (about 4 weeks). Projects could extend over that time though, if it is not more than a few hours per week. I am looking for an opportunity to gain more experience in translating evidence and bringing digital health innovation to the people. I believe solutions like mHIFA offers are such an important part of the future of medicine. I could join for example a development team for the above timeframe to see how new technology is developed and brought to the public/market. If you think there could be something meaningful offered for me, I am pretty flexible and open to new exposures.
If you think you know of a possible rotation opportunity for me, please connect with me by email: BenJeuk@gmail.com or Benjamin_Jeuk@urmc.rochester.edu.
I am looking forward to learning more in the discussions at HIFA!
Best regards,
Benjamin Jeuk
