My name is Neal Haddaway and a new member of the HIFA network. I'm an evidence synthesis methodologist with over 15 years experience in conducting systematic reviews and developing evidence synthesis methods. My background is in environmental science, but I have since become interdisciplinary, working across international development, climate science, and health. I'm currently working as an advisor with CGIAR and ILRI in their evidence synthesis work, particularly on One Health and climate adaptation.
I also wanted to flag an online training course that might be of interest to the group in September, for those looking to develop their evidence synthesis skills. The two-day online course, taking place on 7–8 September from 09:00–16:00 BST, offers a practical introduction to systematic reviews and systematic maps/scoping reviews, with guidance through the different stages of the process and plenty of tips and examples along the way.
The course is designed for people who are interested in carrying out their own reviews or maps, and draws on examples from a range of fields.
