Invitation to Partner with CFHI to Expand Global Health Education

10 April, 2024

Dear Colleagues,

Child Family Health International (www.cfhi.org), a United Nations-recognized non-profit providing standard-setting global health immersion for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate trainees, is accepting applications to join our network of Academic Partners. Academic Partnership allows universities to leverage CFHI sites, safety/security response, curricular platforms and more to expand global health experiential learning opportunities.

Our global team spans 10 countries and embeds trainees into locally-led existing health systems showcasing asset-based engagement narratives that provide authentic perspectives on complex global health challenges and robust innovation in resource deprived settings. Immersion experiences are structured in a variety of ways including practicums, electives, rotations, internships, and service-learning. Themes that are featured include global burden of disease, health systems science, public health/clinical medicine integration, hospital medicine, primary care, rural/urban comparatives, and more.

Deadline is May 1, 2024 to APPLY TO BE A CFHI ACADEMIC PARTNER. The application is non-binding and there is no financial cost of partnering with CFHI -- it is an opportunity to ignite a conversation to ensure value and other alignment. Please see more information and the application at: https://forms.gle/NFdjWotpdw3WYGwo8

In the words of an Academic Partner, “CFHI is the gold standard in terms of partnerships with university faculty. Why do I say that? I’ve done programs where we developed our own relationships, it was extremely difficult. In most instances you don’t have coordinated activities, you have little quality control, there is not a lot of stability….CFHI has been exceptional as a partner. It relieves pressure from faculty on the day to day activities and quality issues of the program.”

Please reach out to me with any questions.

Best Regards,

Jessica
