Japan bans the corporal punishment of children (14)

3 March, 2020

Thank you, Marcus. This is really becoming very interesting. You should read my books on The Concept of Child Abuse and the Fundamental of Child Rights. They are very expository and depicts my stand on your questions.

However, as knowledge increases, we need to begin to review our beliefs and practices. The world is a roller coaster. Children are victims of both technology and massive parental negligence. We need to stand up to

our responsibilities as adults to build a world that makes sense to persevere the future of our children. Our believes, practices and actions are harming them daily and we are not accepting the responsibilities. We should!

Now to PAIN. Pain is not always negative. A woman has pain at delivery - should women stop having babies because of pain? Injections are painful. Should we stop giving injections when needed because it causes pain?

Work is painful and sometime hard. Should we teach our children not to work because we love them and do not want to expose them to pain? Pain is a part of live and evidence of a functional nervous system.

As I said in an earlier post, it is time to review some of our age long and convention enacted practices using real and tested evidence from science - rather than mere perspectives, projections, and feelings.

Let us plan and fund relevant studies designed to find out what is in the best interest of the child. We have planned and programmed for them for too long - it is time to get them engaged and involved to get the

best for them.

Let us do what is right - not just what is acceptable to some cultures or some adults - for the child. Let us do it NOW.

I am, remember, a Child's Ombudsman.
