Japan bans corporal punishment of children (30)

20 March, 2020

I am so happy that Japan banned corporal punishment of children. There've been many cases of children dying from corporal punishment. I would not say parents should spare the rod and spoil the child but if parents use sledgehammers to beat their children, usually for a small matter they may die. You cannot correct a child once you have battered that child to death. One can't correct by killing. it makes no sense. It takes the man, depending on his sperm makeup, time to impregnate a woman who takes nine months and severe labour pains to bring that child to life. But it takes one day for one of them to batter the same child to death. All countries should imitate Japan to do away with such a human rights violation. All countries' child rights organizations should become serious on issues of child battering and child corporal punishment.
