You are invited to register for the UHC Compass launch!
Universal Health Coverage Day, celebrated on 12 December 2024, is a time for us to unite and call on governments to invest in health for all and protect people – especially the most vulnerable – from financial hardship when accessing health services.
As part of our activities to mark UHC Day 2024, IAPO will officially launch the UHC Compass at an exciting webinar titled "The UHC Compass and Social Participation: empowering patient organisations to hold governments accountable for universal health coverage" on 11 December 2024, from 12:30 to 14:00 CET via Zoom.
The UHC Compass is a living and evolving resource created by patients for patients to support local leaders and communities to concretely advance decision-making and universal health coverage on the ground. Set against the backdrop of the World Health Assembly resolution on social participation and UHC Day 2024, this session will delve into how the UHC Compass can be a powerful instrument for holding governments accountable for investing in universal health coverage.
The UHC Compass was co-created by participants in the Global Patient Think Tank (GPTT), a multinational and diverse group of patient community representatives who have come together to ensure the patient community voice is integrated into the overall UHC movement. As a co-creator of the Compass and a GPTT member, IAPO is proud to host the UHC Compass and ensure it reaches our broad global patient organisation community.
We hope you can join us for this discussion on how we can use this tool to support our efforts to make UHC a reality for all!
