Thank you everybody for this most important topic.
Just a quick note on caveats: There are not so many competing causes of death in this age group: infections, so dangerous for the small ones, don't often kill adolescents. Cardiovascular deaths don't happen before much later. This leaves cancer, mental health and accidents as main concerns. Childhood cancer is treated more and more successfully.
Having said this, I don't mean that we should relax. One has to consider evidence-based measures to prevent these suicides. Every one of these is one too many.
