Menstruation

28 October, 2022

I am who I am, GOD identified himself as; I am" to Moses, this is because God was not born of a woman. Then who are we... God bestowed the power of continuity to women, and as the body of a woman undergoes developmental stages from maturity, through puberty, menarche, and menstruation, menstruating girls and women experience stigma, isolation, and discrimination, this is due to lack of knowledge and understanding by stakeholders, partners, parents, policymakers and girls and women on the hormonal changes, which impact on the health and the general wellbeing of menstruating girls and women

It is only recently, in 2014, that the World woke up from a heavy sleep, to realize that, menstruation is a condition that needs to be taken as among the NCDs and be addressed as so, since then movements such as "period pose" and "period poverty", "theredot" gained significance, and it is through advocacy that, this was realized

The 7 billion of us occupying the world, are a result of the red dot, hence the reddot, has to be respected, by breaking all the barriers and blocks, that are preventing menstruating girls and women from the freedom to enjoy their menstrual cycle, without discrimination, stigma, isolation, and quarantine during menstruation
