There are multilingual wikis and google translate has been making steady progress but a large majority of the globe may not have had access and privilege to learn the alphabet for even the language they are fluent with.
Maybe neotech such as text to voice (technically much easier to achieve than voice to text) would be the added panacea for this current challenge.
