New member introduction - Andrew James Williams

6 April, 2020

Good morning,

I am very pleased to join CHIFA and am sending this email to introduce myself. I am a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at the University of St Andrews, UK. My skills are predominantly quantitative and epidemiological but also include evaluation methods e.g. natural experimental methods and evaluability assessment. I have worked with large healthcare datasets including anonymised patient records, but also enjoy working at smaller scales. I have become particularly interested in the ways communities organise to support their own health having studied salutogenesis and complexity. I was born in Zimbabwe and have spent short periods of time there since, but am open to collaborations around the world.

I hope everyone is keeping safe and we can support our local populations to take the safest actions during the pandemic.

I look forward to engaging with the group, thank you.
