Neil, Thank you for sharing, as the discussion on 'Open Access' seems to have taken the back seat for a while on HIFA platform.
Sad to read that Publishers/Owners of medical and scientific journals prioritise 'quantity over quality', but it is not new. The good news is to see that Editors are taking and making a stand against the policy. Maybe I am naive, but can the Editors register publication entities to pursue their views? Will they get access and financial support from supporters of Non-profit enterprises? Might it be easier in high income countries to get such support? I hope so.
