Dear HIFA and CHIFA colleagues,
I’m excited to share an opportunity to lead Children for Health as our next CEO. For over a decade, I’ve been privileged to co-create our health education content for children and conduct training, mentoring, project design, evaluation, and create our library of posters and storybooks. Our aim has always aligned with the HIFA and CHIFA vision: giving children (who are citizens too!) reliable, age-appropriate health information so they can protect themselves and others.
Now, with the world changing — new digital tools, shifts in the fundraising landscape, and the need to grow a global network — it’s time for fresh leadership. Someone who can take what we’ve built and scale it, inspire others to adopt our approach, and navigate this evolving environment.
I hope to support Children for Health in health education and project design, and be available for advice and consultancy if the new CEO would like this, but strategic leadership and growth require new energy, ideas, and skills.
We also hope this transition can be a case study in succession planning: how a small but strong organisation prepares for the future while staying true to its mission.
If you or someone you know might be interested, the job description is here: https://www.childrenforhealth.org/jobs/. Please also take a look at our website.
We intend to offer two webinars to all those who express interest ...one of which will be a general introduction to Children for Health and the role and a second which will be answering any questions participants raise. All participants in both or either of these meetings will then be advised on next steps. We will not do individual consultations about the job prior to these webinars as our small team is still extremely busy on a number of projects.
You will note the deadline is end of September as many prospective candidates may be away. More news and a reminder towards the deadline. We have had a lot of interest already!
With best wishes,
Clare
