Publications: Series on Human Rights and Health

The Series on Human Rights and Health includes 8 Technical Notes, describing the main international human rights instruments, and the United Nations mechanisms and Inter-American Human Rights System to protect those rights, as well as different measures to make them effective, with special emphasis on the right to the highest attainable standard of health of the most vulnerable population groups in the Americas. This Series is part of an initiative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), through the Office of the Legal Counsel, with the aim of promoting the dissemination of international human rights standards related to health and contributing to the adoption of measures to advance the protection of the right to the highest attainable standard of health in the Region.
