Quality (351) Access to reliable healthcare information: MEDBOX (2)

21 October, 2022

Dear HIFA colleagues

When I tried to open the page it gave me the following message “Page not found Sorry, this page doesn’t exist! To find the content you’re looking for, please visit the  homepage or perform a search below.”  [*see note below]

Indeed lack of health information is lethal. My own knowledge of MEDBOX that it has a great collection of articles, books and other health related materials that can be accessed offline to be used in places where there is no internet connection or bad one. (I maybe mistaken). The big challenge is that it is “lethal” simply because we have been learning what maybe medicine for some could be poison (lethal) for others. Health, apart from the physical, is about culture, religion, social determinant of health, environment, animals, etc.  The principles might be the same but the details are different. My criticism of MEDBOX has always been that it lacks local flavour. I could have been changed,

Best regards. Najeeb Al-Shorbaji
