Dr. Jerry Paccione and his team at Einstein College of Medicine are excited to present Reasoning Without Resources in collaboration with Child Family Health International. This 4-week clinical reasoning course (2 weeks asynchronous; 2 weeks synchronous) is based on actual cases from Uganda and involves in-depth exploration with peers from around the world. The course is designed for final year medical students. It develops skills in physical exam, clinical reasoning, global health, low resource diagnostics, and hospital medicine. The course also includes CFHI's Pillars of Global Health modular course that provides competency-based education in cross-cultural effectiveness, global burden of disease, global health ethics and more.
The tuition for students from low and middle-income countries is fully funded through scholarships; high-income based students cost is $100 - subsidized by CFHI and the Einstein faculty. Interested students must engage with pre-reading and pre-tests. An asynchronous portion of the course will occur January 1-14 and live synchronous sessions Jan 15-26, 2024.
Application deadline December 1, 2023.
