I agree with Esha Ray Chadhuri that providing "greater access to authentically global literature than ever before" is a good thing, and have always supported the Open Access movement for that. I also recognize what the decolonisation advocates term the "epistemic injustice" of having traditional local health information swamped by a deluge of Western/Northern allopathic medicine. A balance has to be found, providing equity (not necessarily equality) for local knowledge.
