Thank you, Dr. Adirieje, for promoting community health workers as frontline ambassadors in closing the health information gap. Very timely in regards to the group B strep discussion in the HIFA/CHIFA Spotlight this week, not only in regards to the potential to disperse perinatal GBS disease awareness but also for awareness that GBS can cause urinary tract infections and sometimes more serious complications in adults, usually in the elderly or those with certain medical conditions.
