Study: Global Health: Virtual vs in-person collaboration

19 January, 2022

Dear HIFA Colleague,

Are you involved in a global health activity, either as a participant or as a facilitator? If so, we’d like to hear your valuable input!

A group of researchers (led by Dr. Lisa Umphrey at the Center for Global Health, Colorado School of Public Health, Colorado, USA) is inviting anyone involved in Global Health Activities to take a survey about their experiences with in-person versus virtual global health activities.

The goal of this survey is to better understand global health activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, we want to know how access to these activities has evolved during the pandemic; preferences for activities; and challenges or enablers that you have experienced while participating in these activities, whether in-person or virtually.

The surveys can be accessed at this link:

As a thank you for your time, you will be invited to enter a raffle to receive an Amazon Gift Card. The deadline to participate is Wed 9th February 2022.

Please contact Dr. Umphrey by email (lisa.umphrey@childrenscolorado.org) with any questions about this survey. Attached to this message you will find an invitation to participate with the survey link and more details.

We know that everyone is overwhelmed right now due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We cannot thank you enough for using some of your limited and precious time to consider taking the survey.

Sincerely and with many thanks,

Dr. Lisa Umphrey, MD

(on behalf of the Virtual Global Health Activity project team)
