We are reaching out to ask for your help in taking and distributing a
survey on practices and experiences with non-invasive ventilation
(NIV) in transportation settings for children under the age of 5. We are
aiming to reach healthcare providers, administrators, and emergency
transportation specialists with knowledge or experience using NIV in
transportation.
While pre-hospital and interfacility *transportation settings are critical
to provide essential lifesaving treatment for children under 5,* there is a
need for more information on practices and experiences with NIV in these
contexts. To address this gap, our research team has developed an *anonymous
online survey *to assess i) the resources available in transportation
settings, ii) the current systems of NIV used in transportation settings
for children under 5 and iii) the factors that are needed for the use of NIV
in transportation. It is our hope that this information can be used to
meet current gaps in care that are essential to sustaining life for
children under 5 around the world.
