Updating the child health section on our web page 'Why HIFA [and CHIFA] are needed'

12 July, 2025

Dear CHIFA colleagues,

We are updating the child health section on our web page 'Why HIFA [and CHIFA] are needed' https://www.hifa.org/about-hifa/why-hifa-needed

The page intends to provide links to research papers that demonstrate a lack of reliable healthcare information and knowledge to prevent and manage common diseases. Many of our examples are now several years old and we are looking for newer examples.

Please can you help with malaria?

We currently have the followin example:

==

Malaria

7 in 10 children with malaria treated at home are mismanaged, contributing to 2000 deaths every day in Africa alone. [4]

Does anyone have more recent data on home management of malaria? Or other recent research on knowledge, attitudes and practice re child malaria?

Many thanks, Neil
