New IAPO initiatives in 2026

We're excited to launch a number of new initiatives for our members this year. All are designed to develop capabilities, strengthen connections across our global community, bridge gaps between local and global, and create more meaningful opportunities to learn from one another.

IAPO Regional Hubs – Aligned with the six WHO regions, the Hubs will serve as vibrant spaces for connection, learning and collective action. They will foster regional networks to advance both our regional priorities and shared global agenda.

RISE - an exciting capacity-building initiative focused on strengthening leadership capability and organisational sustainability of our members. RISE will offer online training sessions, peer support learning groups and resources sharing to support building and running strong organisations.

SPARCLE - A structured, patient-governed panel system to generate high-quality primary patient and people with lived experience insight for health decision-making, research, policy, and innovation.

This year we will also be introducing translations of our Global Patient Charter on Social Participation [https://www.iapo.org.uk/node/15739], as well as a Charter Review Committee, and further learning opportunities.
