WHO has published WHO implementation handbook for national action plans on AMR: guidance for the human health sector. https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789240041981

The current version is in English and translations into French, Russian and Spanish will follow shortly. In addition to the handbook, an infographic is available here amr-spc-npm/nap-support-tools/who-infographic-nap-implementation-handbook-en.pdf?sfvrsn=df7b249a_111 . .

The purpose of the handbook is twofold:

1. to provide a practical, stepwise approach to NAP implementation within the human health sector; and

2. to provide a process and collation of WHO tools to prioritize, cost, implement, monitor and evaluate NAP activities.

The official launch of the handbook together with regional and country experiences will take place on 17 March 2022 through two global webinars.

COMMENT: The guide does not appear to address the availability and use of reliable information for prescribers and users of antibiotics.

It does, however, mention a WHO publication (English only): Health workers’ education and training on antimicrobial resistance: curricula guide (2019)

https://apps.who.int/iris/bitstream/handle/10665/329380/9789241516358-en...

Can anyone provide observations on the availability and use of reliable information for prescribers and users of antibiotics?

Best wishes, Neil
