World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) 2022

The theme of WAAW 2022 is "Preventing antimicrobial resistance together." It calls for collaboration across sectors in the fight against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and emphasizes the need for prevention. The theme was agreed after wide consultations across stakeholders and across the quadripartite organizations (FAO, UNEP, WHO and WOAH). We hope you will join us in celebrating WAAW 2022 to improve awareness and understanding of AMR.

To learn more about WAAW 2022 and get guidance on how to participate and develop your own local activities, please review our joint quadripartite campaign guide <https://amr.cmail20.com/t/d-l-fuuiyz-iturtdlrji-y/>.

The WAAW 2022 webpage <https://amr.cmail20.com/t/d-l-fuuiyz-iturtdlrji-j/> includes key information about AMR and the global WAAW campaign. A variety of campaign materials <https://amr.cmail20.com/t/d-l-fuuiyz-iturtdlrji-t/> are available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Russian. These include social media content, videos, animations, banners and editable posters (which can be downloaded and used with messages in any language).
