20 May, 2026

Dear HIFA colleagues,

Our thanks to Meena Nathan Cherian and Hannah Daniel for representing HIFA at the World Health Assembly this year.

Meena is a HIFA Steering Group member and will be delivering the HIFA official statement at the WHA later today.

Hannah is a relatively new member. She introduced herself to the HIFA forum on 2 May 2026:

"I'm Hannah Daniel, a software engineer at Google, where I worked on Google AI Studio, a platform for software developers to use Gemini models. My work is now focused on designing AI data systems at scale. I am passionate about building responsible and safe AI systems, specifically in healthcare applications. I graduated with a B.S. Computer Science degree from Cornell University."

Hannah has kindly agreed to be our official HIFA correspondent at the WHA and we look forward to read her observations.

Many thanks, Neil
