Atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases (ASCVD), which develop throughout the course of life, are one of the major causes of premature death, disability and healthcare expenditure globally.
There is substantial evidence to guide the secondary prevention and treatment to reduce the probability of recurrence of CVD events in patients with ASCVD. However, there remain big gaps in the clinical implementation of secondary prevention measures around the world.
The World Heart Federation is now working to develop a toolkit to guide the clinical implementation of secondary prevention interventions in lower-resource settings. The toolkit is aimed primarily at primary care physicians working in lower-resource settings.
We are running a survey on resource needs for secondary prevention implementation among primary care physicians to inform the development of the toolkit.
We are asking for your support to help us fill in the survey and disseminate it among your members, colleagues, friends and anyone else who might be able to help us. All the questions are anonymous and optional, so respondents have the option to answer only those questions they are able to.
