World Obesity Day, 4th March 2022 (2) Digital obesity

4 March, 2022

Thanks Ben for reminding us of this important date and the efforts that need to be made to reduce health risks associated with obesity.

I recently encountered the term Digital Obesity and found this definition: “Information hoarders with a ferocious appetite for data. Digital obesity can be used to describe people who refuse to delete old or unwanted data iin case they need it in the future. The same people can often be found trying to fill 400GB Hard Drives with junk, just because the space is ‘there’. Also relates to software packages that are needlessly large and over complex.” https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=digital%20obesity

The lifestyle has an impact on the quality of our life and wellbeing.

Best regards
