World Psoriasis Day 2025 (4) Meeting information needs for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (2)

2 December, 2025

Dear David (Chandler),

Thank you for your message inviting 'Suggestions for adapting educational content to diverse contexts and languages'

There are two challenges here 'Adapting educational content for different contexts' and 'Translating content into different languages'.

Can you say a bit more about your target audiences? Is this mainly for different groups in the UK?

Also, I note the International Federation of Psoriasis Associations. They and the organisations they represent must have lots of experience and expertise to share.

The issues are likely to be similar across all areas of health care. Many of our supporting organisations may be able to share their experience.

I invite HIFA members also to comment on the use of machine translation such as Google Translate. This tool has become very accurate. Are people using it to translate educational materials? Wwith a view to having the translations checked before dissemination?

Best wishes, Neil
