Thank you, Irene, for your explanatory reply. I am glad we are stimulating this discussion. It is also very important to avoid one line narrative in these issues.
Cultures vary. Practices are different. One single solution may not work for all irrespective of how excellent it may look.
There is the need to find out the differences in well-being between children raised with one style vs the other. This may give us better evidence to make informed decisions.
Can we do this as a group?
