Dear HIFA members, country representatives and supporting organizations, I wish you all a prosperous, healthier and peaceful 2022. HIFA is doing great to make work population to have access to health information they need. It is impactful platform for knowledge sharing too. However, millions of citizens in Ethiopia haven't been receiving the health information and healthcare they need since last year due to the ongoing internal conflict. Therefore, I kindly request all members and supporting organizations of HIFA to have positive contribution for Ethiopia to regain her peace. The healthcare in Tigrai and Amhara regions is significantly damaged and citizens are not getting the usual health care, foods and other social services. The immediate, intermediate and long term impact of the conflict is hard to imagine. Our people need information and preventive services for Covid 19 but, unfortunately to talk about Covid 19 is and has been a luxurious to us. Really what is happening in Ethiopia will significantly affect the attainment of universal development goals. Every country need to work towards achieving the agreed goals and the conditions to do so should be favorable. Hence, I kindly request you once again to exert a positive contribution and stop the ongoing war according to your sphere of influence.
