Globally, the two most common reasons women give for not using contraception while in need [ https://reproductive-health-journal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s... ] are (1) health concerns, including health risks, fears of side effects and unwanted menstrual changes; and (2) infrequent sex. Consumers need a range of effective contraceptive options that meet their varied preferences, including the preference for on-demand contraception-especially among those who have infrequent sex. However, the current range of on-demand options on the market is limited. Might new on-demand contraceptive methods fill a market gap?
