Introduction: Lydia, Nigeria

7 March, 2026

I am a Health Sciences professional, and Global Health practitioner, with experience in hospital administration, advocacy in girl child sexual abuse, community health outreaches and coordination, and multifaceted support program in advancing public Health in Nigeria under the auspices of Bridging Health Intl (U.S.A) and its affiliate, Ascending health Foundation (Nigeria).

I hold a BSc in Health Science, Mini-Masters, Certificate in Public Health, Behavioral Health, Advocacy and in Quality Data.

With over 5 years of experience in the medical/health field, I have worked closely with health/medical specialists, multidisciplinary teams, Non- Profit Organizations, community partners, Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), and governing boards to strengthen program quality and expand affordable and equitable healthcare and outreach efforts. I am enthusiastic about gaining more evident-based public health strategies and interventions for promoting and advancing equitable healthcare for the underserved/underprivileged in Nigeria; to contribute to global health equality and equity, and ways to alleviate the social determinants of health which effects behavioral health with a rippling effect on healthcare systems.

I am thrilled to be a member of HIFA where evidence based health information is free, available and accessible to all for the advancement of global health especially for low and middle income countries. [*see note below]

Best Regards

[*Note from HIFA moderator (NPW): Hello Lydia, welcome to HIFA. I would like to use this opportunity to explain that HIFA is not primarily a provider of reliable healthcare information - the provision of reliable healthcare information is dependent on the global evidence ecosystem, which involves many thousands of organisations, notably WHO. HIFA's purpose is to strengthen the global evidence ecosystem through communication (forums), understanding (projects) and advocacy (supporting organisations, partners and WHO). https://www.hifa.org/about-hifa ]
