Dear Hajime,

"In your country, are the rights to life of children and adults with severe disabilities protected?"

Thank you for raising this question. I think in most countries people living with disabilities (PLWD) have the same legal rights as those without disabilities. But in practice, PLWD often have many challenges and disadvantages that go beyond their disability.

"Are there any ethical views, i.e. Person theory, that negatively consider their lives?"

I was not familiar with 'person theory'. I looked this up and found 'personhood theory'. I found the explanations of this theory hard to understand and would welcome help from oyou and others. What do proponents of this theory believe or assert?

In terms of the right to health, I understand that PLWDs have many barriers to receiving the health care that they need.

Best wishes, Neil
