Eliane Pereira dos Santos

Eliane Pereira dos Santos has a Master Degree in Information Science – Knowledge Management (Brazil, University of Brasilia) and a Master Business Administration in Strategic Management of Public Health (Brazil – Ministry of Health and UNICAMP). From 2011, she is the Regional Advisor for Library and Information Networks for the Pan American Health Organization and is based in the Headquarters (Washington, DC – USA). Among other activities she is responsible for the Library and Institutional Memory actions, Dissemination of Information, highlighting the moderation of the Equity List (Lista Equidad) and serves as the Regional Focal Point for the PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centres. She has a Bachelor Degree in Librarianship and started her carrier in the Public Health field in 2001 as a consultant for the Ministry of Health, Brazil to implement the Virtual Health Library (VHL) Ministry of Health. In 2008, she joined the Pan American Health Organization – Country Office in Brazil in the Area of Knowledge and Information Management. She returned to the Ministry of Health in 2010 to act as the General Coordinator for the Information and Documentation Area where she remained until joining PAHO/WHO. pereirae AT paho.org
