Mary Kinney is a Senior Specialist for Global Evidence and Advocacy with Save the Children US’s program Saving Newborn Lives providing technical analysis and writing support specifically in the area of maternal, newborn and child health. She is passionate about using evidence in global and national advocacy efforts and enjoys working with large global teams to translate evidence into policy action. Some of her recent global activities include the Quality, Equity, Dignity for services global advocacy group of Every Woman Every Child, The Lancet Ending preventable stillbirth series, The Lancet Every newborn series, and Born Too Soon: The Global Action Report for Preterm Births. She is based in South Africa and holds a Master’s degree in international relations from the University of Cape Town.
