Nidhi Chaudhary is a public health expert working on child health and nutrition, maternal and adolescent health for over 15 years. She is the Founder and CEO of Navya Tarang Foundation, a registered not for profit social enterprise working towards provision of affordable primary health care services for urban poor in Chandigarh. She also worked as State Technical Lead with USAID supported Vriddhi – Scaling up RMNCHA Interventions projject in Haryana for improving the “Care Around Birth†in the labor rooms in government facilities in high priority districts. Prior to that she was with Futures Group as the project director for European Union supported Institutional and Technical Support project for strengthening National Institute of Health and Family Welfare and State Institutes of Health and Family Welfare. She worked as National Professional Officer – Nutrition at WHO India office for nnearly 3 years. She worked closely with the MoHFW supporting them in development of national guidelines and training packages and capacity building of health personnel. As Senior Program Specialist with Futures Group under USAID/ ITAP project, Dr Chaudhary was instrumental in designing, piloting and taking to scale innovative PPP models for improving access to RCH services. She led the piloting of voucher scheme, mobile diagnostic and clinical services, operations research for ASHA plus program and comprehensive adolescent health program in Uttarakhand. She has been involved in qualitative and quantitative research including using verbal autopsy for infant and maternal deaths and facility survey using IPHS standards.
