The Airport Clinic Limited took over the operations and management of the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) former Kotoka International Airport Clinic. To meet the conditions of an International Airport by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and to satisfy the medical needs of its staff and the public, Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) decided to take over the Clinic. Consequently, it was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company on Monday, February 22, 1999 under the name ‘Airport Clinic Limited’.
The ownership of Airport Clinic Limited was transferred to Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) on the 4th of December 2008 after GCAA was restructured.The Clinic is managed by a Board and an Internal Management headed by a Medical Superintendent.
