Dear HIFA members,
Rising Scholars, formerly AuthorAID, is an open global network supporting researchers in the Global South. It is an online platform that offers free mentoring and collaboration, online courses and resources. Here I would like to share the news about rebranding that Rising Scholars has announced today.
-----------------------------
Big News: AuthorAID is now Rising Scholars!
Our new name reflects the broader ways this community supports early career researchers – beyond academic writing – to include research skills, career development, innovation, networking, and more.
While the name and look have changed, the heart of our community remains the same: a space where early career researchers from the Global South support one another, share knowledge, and create opportunities for growth and innovation.
Whether you have been a member for a long time, or you are a new user, we hope you join us in the excitement about this rebrand.
We would love to hear from you – what does Rising Scholars mean to you? What are your hopes for the community’s future, and for yourself as a researcher? Share your thoughts in the comments or in your own posts using hashtag#RisingScholars.

I join in congratulating Rising Scholars for this great step in adapting to better serve the early-career research community, the junior researchers, which has been a great support since its establishment in 2007.
