Dear CHIFA colleagues,

Would you like to help facilitate one of the leading platforms in global child health, with more than 3,800 members in 140 countries? Are you keen to increase your professional visibility across the global child health community? Would you like to extend your global networking and collaboration opportunities?

CHIFA is looking for two new volunteers to join the moderation team.

The CHIFA moderation team currently comprises three child health professionals - Tony Waterston, Tom Hutchison and Tosin Papoola - supported by an international CHIFA steering group and the HIFA coordinator, Neil Pakenham-Walsh. This is a voluntary position and will require 1-2 hours per week, working whenever and wherever you like, and you will learn advanced moderation skills in mutual support with the rest of the team.

CHIFA profile: Tony Waterston is a retired consultant paediatrician who worked mainly in the community in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. He spent 6 years working in Zambia and Zimbabwe and directed the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Diploma in Palestinian Child Health teaching programme in the occupied Palestinian territories. He was an Editor of the Journal of Tropical Pediatrics and is on the Executive Committee of the International Society for Social Pediatrics. His academic interests are child poverty, advocacy for child health and children's rights. CHIFA profile: Tom Hutchison has been a Paediatrician for more than 40 years, He trained in USA and UK then worked in general and community paediatrics in UK with a focus on disability. After a London Diploma in Tropical Medicine he has worked in Palestine, Tajikistan, DRC, Sierra Leone and South Sudan. He is a co-moderator for CHIFA.
