HIFA Partner Initiative: HIFA recognises 20 organisations that are providing practical support in 2025

21 February, 2025

Dear HIFA colleagues,

Thank you to HIFA supporting organisations who attended our webinar on 30 January on the theme of HIFA Projects.

We would like to share with you a 3-minute video extract from the meeting to encourage and motivate you to consider the possibility of providing practical support for HIFA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y200hbhVhiQ

From January 2025 we have developed a new category 'HIFA Partners' to recognise organisations that provide financial or technical support. We are delighted to recognise the following 20 organisations that have already provided practical support for HIFA in 2025:

Afro-European Medical and Research Network

Alex The Leukodystrophy Charity

Avert

Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation

Council of International Neonatal Nurses

Elsevier Foundation

Global Health Media Project

Honduras Association of Parasitology

Instituto Antonio Vidal

International Child Health Group

International Foundation for Dermatology

International League of Dermatological Societies

International Prader-Wili Syndrome Organisation

International Primary Care Research Group

International Society for Social Paediatrics and Child Health

NextGenU.org

Norwegian Institute of Public Health

One World Medical Network

Rheumatology for All

In addition HIFA is in official relations with the World Health Organization since 2022.

All the above organisations are providing practical support. We define this as financial (£100+) or substantial technical support for HIFA's work in 2025. Support may be unrestricted or restricted to specific activities (forums, projects, WHO Collaboration Plan 2025-7).

HIFA recognises all the above organisations prominently on the HIFA website, social media, publications and presentations, including their logos on the HIFA home page. In addition, HIFA proactively collaborates with the above organisations to understand and help them achieve their objectives in 2025 and beyond, especially as they relate to the progressive realisation of universal access to reliable healthcare information.

All the above is coordinated by the HIFA Partnerships and Projects Working Group https://www.hifa.org/projects/partnerships-and-projects

NEXT STEPS

We want to build on the above to *double* the number of organisations that provide practical support for HIFA.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We invite *your* organisation to demonstrate your support for HIFA by becoming a HIFA Partner. There are two options:

1. Make a financial contribution through our dedicated fundraising platform:

Account number: 65873036

IBAN: GB36 CPBK 089299 65873036

Bank: Co-operative Bank, UK

Sort code: 08-92-99

The contribution can be an unrestricted donation or it can be allocated to a particular project, forum, WHO collaboration plan, or other activity.

2. Please contact us if you are unable to provide financial support but would like to discuss technical support, or if you have any questions: neil@hifa.org / admin@hifa.org

Together we can build a world where every person has access to the reliable healthcare information they need to protect their own health and the health of others

In solidarity, Neil
