Webinar: new GRADE guidance for research
Much research is still affected by methodological limitations and other uncertainties, which are often identified in systematic reviews. This webinar will present new guidance from the GRADE Working Group [https://www.gradeworkinggroup.org/] on how systematic reviews can include and present structured implications for future research based on GRADE certainty-of-evidence assessments. The focus will be on practical frameworks for developing “Implications for Research” sections within intervention reviews, including different formats for presenting research implications, such as Summary of Findings tables, Summary of Implications for Research (SOIR) tables, and other approaches.
The presenter will be Martin Ringsten, project coordinator at Cochrane Sweden, with a keen interest in applying, expanding and learning others how to use systematic review methodology and the GRADE-approach.

HIFA profile: Simon Lewin is a health systems researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (https://www.ntnu.edu/employees/simon.lewin), the South African Medical Research Council (www.mrc.ac.za) and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (https://www.fhi.no/en/kn/ceir/). He has a keen interest in how research evidence can be used to inform decisions for health systems in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and at the global level in multilateral organisations such as the WHO. As Co-Lead of Cochrane People, Health Systems and Public Health, he has played a key role in strengthening Cochrane’s work in the field of health systems and in developing Cochrane methods for qualitative evidence synthesis.
