Warm greetings to everyone.
My name is Nitya Krishnasamy, and I am a Research Scientist at Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, Chennai, India. I am delighted to join the HIFA community and to be part of a global network committed to improving access to reliable healthcare information for all.
My research and professional interests are primarily focused on oral cancer molecular biology and therapeutics, with particular emphasis on phytotherapeutics, nanomedicine, and advanced drug delivery systems. I am actively involved in translational research exploring plant-derived compounds, nano-formulations, and biomarker-based diagnostics for oral potentially malignant disorders and oral squamous cell carcinoma.
In addition, I work extensively in salivomics and biomarker research, computational biology and in-silico methods, and AI-enabled approaches in healthcare and drug discovery. Alongside laboratory and molecular research, I have a strong interest in psycho-oncology, patient-reported outcomes, quality of life research, and the ethical dimensions of cancer care.
My broader interests also include communicable and non-communicable diseases, HIV and infectious diseases, and the role of digital health and low-cost diagnostics in improving healthcare delivery in resource-limited settings.
I look forward to learning from fellow members, contributing to discussions, and sharing perspectives that may support HIFA’s vision of equitable access to healthcare information worldwide. I would be happy to collaborate, exchange ideas, or contribute to thematic discussions relevant to my areas of interest.
